DJ’s/MUSIC & VENUE
The club started off with a lot of Wax Trax industrial, goth and underground rock music in the beginning and then came the fateful day of March 8, 1994 when we started playing a little album called The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails & the club has never been the same since! We rode that wave for most of the 90’s and in the year 2011 ::still:: play a lot of NiN, along with Marilyn Manson. Skinny Puppy, Combichrist, Lady Ga Ga, Fad Gadget, Muse, M.I.A. plus flashbacks by The Cramps, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode, Erasure and New Order to name a few. Truth be told, there is very little that we wont play but don’t expect much rap, techno or d&b - that territory is pretty well covered at most other clubs in the City.

9 Lives - The Story of our return to the Cat Club
On May 4, 2011 Bondage A Go Go will be returning to the scene of the crime - namely our host venue from 1999 - 2004, the notorious Cat Club. With the move we are confidant that we have a partner who understands the event and our patrons. The club is a sanctuary for underground music in San Francisco and is perhaps most well known for hosting the iconic retro dance party “1984”. There are 2 main rooms with a large bar smack dab in the middle. The play-space is being hosted in the Back Room and we dance in the Front Room.
The club is centrally located at the corner of Folsom and 8th Street(s), has ample off-street parking and is well served by taxis and public transportation. We look forward to a long and successful association with our friends at “Cats”.
BaGG has been “around the block” in it’s 18 + years of continuous operation. Our kinky karnival started at the Trocadero from February 1993 to March 1998. We spent the rest of 1998 at Club VsF and moved to the (then) brand spanking new Cat Club from 1999 - 2004. We popped in for the 7 Year Itch at our original venue (rechristened the Glas Kat) from 2004 to February 2011 and spent 2 cold/wet months on the waterfront at Kelly’s Mission Rock Cafe in 2011.
